Workout
Many physical fitness buffs have been inspired by the
Christian Bale workout that the actor did for the Dark Knight
sequel. What it did was turn the actor from a skinny actor to
muscled-up action star in a matter of weeks. Christian Bale
underwent an intense training regimen so that he will have an
ideal physique for the Dark Knight role.
Anyone who gets to learn the Christian Bale workout will
know that it is possible to transform one’s body provided there
is determination and commitment for the whole exercise. The
whole enterprise could indeed be tough. To make himself
suitable as the Batman comic book hero, Bale not only has to
bulk up his upper body muscles but also had to build killer
six-pack abdominals. Likewise, he must also do some strength
training exercises to enable him to perform some actions scenes
sans double and make the shots as realistic as possible.
Diet was also an important element in the Christian Bale
workout. The actor saw to it that he only ate foods with
healthy fats and lean protein, like beef, fish and lean steak
at every meal. He also kept his carbohydrate intake at the
barest minimum and what he consumed were fiber-rich
carbohydrates like brown rice, yams and oatmeal. This was
necessary so that the carbohydrate intake does not result in
fat build-up, but at the same time provides the fuel for his
intense exercise regimen as well as the grueling demands of
shooting scenes in the action-packed Dark Knight.
