Three
Exercises for a Back Workout Routine
A lot of men take great efforts to develop their chest and
arm muscles. These are the muscles that are immediately seen
and admired especially by women. But however hard you try to
develop these muscles, your total look will still not be
complete if you do not workout your back muscles even if they
are less seen. The back muscles should also be given enough
workouts to have a well proportioned body. To assist you in
making a back workout routine, here are three simple exercises
that will target your upper, middle and lower back muscles.
One Arm Dumbbell Rows
1.If you are going to start with your right hand holding the
dumbbell, place your left knee and left hand on a flat bench.
Your right foot must be flat on the floor.
2.Position your body such that it is parallel to the floor.
Your back must be flat.
3.Hold the dumbbell with your right hand with the palms facing
your body.
4.Lift the dumbbell by assuming a rowing movement until it is
just beside your outer rib cage.
5.Lower it again and repeat several times.
6.Do this again, this time with the left hand holding the
dumbbell.
Bent Over Barbell Row
1.Stand on the floor with your feet a little beyond a
shoulder width apart.
2.Slightly bend your knees.
3.Bend forward at your waist. In so doing, your chest must be
leaning forward over your feet.
4.Grab a barbell using the overhand grip. Your hands must be a
shoulder width apart. The barbell should be at mid-shin level
so your arms must be fully extended.
5.Lift the barbell up by assuming a rowing movement until it
reaches your stomach region.
6.Lower it again and repeat several times.
Leg Raises can
1.Start by lying flat on the floor. Your legs must be
extended.
2.Lift up your legs slowly until they are perpendicular to your
body. Use only your abdominals and hip flexors to do this
motion.
3.Lower your legs until they almost touch the floor.
4.Repeat steps two and three several times.
Always remember that it is also important to exercise those
muscles at the back even if they are not always noticed. This
is important to achieve a well proportioned body.
