Pushups – The Best Home Chest
Workout
Many men like to develop their chest. It is something that
people always notice so it is something that men really like to
focus on when they exercise. If you go to the gym, there are
several options for you to develop your chest muscles. But if
you do not have time to go to the gym and you only exercise at
home, your options become a bit limited. So what are the home
chest workout options left for you?
The simplest way to develop your chest is to do pushups.
Experts say that it is clearly the best exercise for your chest
that you can do at home. You might think that it is very easy
to do. Yes, the whole pushup workout plan for your chest is
very simple but more often than not, people are doing it the
wrong way. Here are some tips on how to do pushups
correctly.
1.Assume a prone position on the floor. You can do pushups
from your knees or from your feet depending on how strong you
are. Usually, for beginners, you can make a good form if you do
pushups from your knees since it is less wobbly or less bouncy.
Keep you thighs straight. Do not droop or pop up your butt.
2.Put you hands under yourself a shoulder width apart. Do not
push up from your palms to avoid damaging the wrists. It is
safer to do pushups on your fists. Just make sure that you do
this on a carpeted surface or you support them with
pillows.
3.Raise yourself up using your arms to make a straight line
from your head down to your knees. This is the starting and
ending position.
4.Lower your body to the ground until your elbows make a 90
degree angle. Keep them as close to your body as possible. Then
raise your body up by pushing the ground. The recommended time
is to spend two seconds going down and two seconds going up.
There is no need to rush so as not to sacrifice form.
5.Repeat step number four several times.
As has been said above, pushup is a very good home chest
workout. As you progress, you can move to more advanced forms
of pushups to develop your chest further.
