Myths on
Building Lean Muscle
What must one do to help with building lean muscle? Some
people do not know what is real and what is not when it comes
to lean muscle building since there are so many myths that
surround it. One of this myths state that for you to get
definition, you should be doing more reps with the use of
weights that are lighter. The proper way to build definition is
actually not lower weights and more reps while dieting, it is
actually by lifting the approximate same weights you are using
now and doing a moderate number of reps while dieting.
Another myth that should be dispelled when building lean
muscle is the one that says a person has to spend a lot of
hours in the gym just for this endeavor. Working out too much
does not build muscle mass, it actually breaks down the
proteins in muscles to use for extra energy when you work out
beyond what is necessary or reasonable for your body.
Overtraining does not build your lean muscle mass, it
actually depletes it.
A third myth that people should be aware of when it is about
building lean muscle they are after is the myth that says spot
reduction is possible. Losing body fat and gaining muscle in
only one area of your body is near impossible since the only
way to lose the fat in the areas of your body you want to trim
down is to lose overall body fat. Dieting and exercising your
whole body is the way to do this.
